Profile

Hanne Rahbæk is an attorney with right of audience before the Danish Supreme Court and is partner at Nyborg & Rørdam. Hanne is an authority within the field of criminal proceedings. In her work she draws on her vast experience, first her employment with the Danish Ministry of Justice and her subsequent work with criminal proceedings both as a prosecutor and at the Director of Public Prosecutions. Hanne has also served as assistant district judge and therefore has a thorough knowledge of procedure and deliberations on the part of police, the Prosecution Service and the courts.

Hanne will always give you exact information regarding the strengths and weaknesses of your case. Most people know that acquittal is not always an option. Therefore, good counselling is aimed at getting the client through the criminal proceedings as well as possible from the first interrogation at the police until the final ruling.

Hanne is engaged in all aspects within the area of criminal law, including cases on white-collar crime. When legislation becomes more complicated, or in the event of clashes between more sets of rules, Hanne is highly recommended as defence counsel. This also goes for i.a. medical liability cases, criminal cases within speciel legislation and cases where other legal rules, e.g. the Danish Administration Act or Danish Tax Control Act, are of importance.

Through many years, Hanne has participated actively in various board and panels both in Denmark and abroad and is therefore up to date with all legal aspects. She has a broad contact surface and knowledge of rules across geographic boarders. Hanne feels strongly about the development within the area of criminal law and continually works for the protection of civil rights for citizens and companies alike.

As the famous Danish cartoonist and humorist, Storm P., once said: ”The best thing in life is a clear conscience. The second-best thing is a good lawyer.”
